Unique opportunity for Multi-Disciplinary Kinesiology & Physiotherapy Assistant Internship Program.

Start with a non-paid internship for 3 month probation and become part of our Team as salaried employee! Earn Credits toward your Diploma or simply Volunteer to gain experience.

We’re looking for driven, ambitious individuals who wants to create a career in the Health Care field. We’re offering a flexible schedule. We provide extensive training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience as follow:

The Successful candidates will assist in daily clinic interactions and procedures, maintenance of records, and preparation of materials and/or reports for the Practitioners and Clinic Staff – When possible, this individual will attend meetings, training and internal programs to enhance skills and professional development during the internship experience where applicable.

Internship Duties:

  • Administrative Preparation

  • Administrative duties including Scanning & Filing

  • SOAP Notes completion handwritten and online

  • Patient Intake data verification

  • Observe evaluations for new patients

  • Clinical Manual review

  • Lots of Preparation in all learning areas

  • Maintenance and Cleaning duties

  • Attends and participate in General Meeting

  • Limited openings currently available for motivated students

  • Flexible schedule, with a commitment of twice per week for 6-7 hours at a time

Training will be offered to goal oriented and motivated students

Training and Experience development:

  • Currently a Junior or Senior with a concentration in Kinesiology or Physiotherapy Assistant, Exercise Science, or related coursework.

  • Student must be able to obtain credit for the internship

  • Exceptional, motivated, and enthusiastic personality

  • Display interest, resourcefulness, and commitment in approaching problems and finding solutions

Schedule:

  • Interns will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week

  • Interns may be asked to pick up extra shifts occasionally

 Generally you can expect:

  • They will provide funds for bus pass or equivalent for transportation

  • Successful Internship Program candidate may be offered to become part of the Team as a paid employee at the 3 months’ Probation term if positions are available.

  • Reference letter will be made available upon request

  • Most of IHP’s Affiliate Clinics are prepared to work closely with your Educational facility to complete reports and any requirements to obtain Credits and Diploma

 Interview process:

  • Once all applications are reviewed, the candidates that meet ALL requirements and availability will be considered for the Internship Program

  • Only those selected will be contacted to take part in a Group Interview

  • All candidates that are called for a 2nd interview will be contacted via email within 48 hours of the Group Interview; we will expect you to complete a personality test assessment

  • If you have been selected to a second Interview and responded with the requirements and assessments; you will be scheduled to meet with a Supervisor; if you are selected to continue, you will be required to complete a written questionnaire the same day

  • A Training Interview will be the final step of this Interview process

  • Once you have been selected as our preferred candidate, you will be notified within 24 hours that you are chosen to take advantage of the Medical Administration Internship Program

  • All selected Interns must pass a background check prior to the start of the Internship Program
